About - Staff - Program Staff

Jason served as a YMT at Riverside for 2 years before heading off to Colorado, The Rocky Mountain State, to serve as a youth director. But now we have him back, to serve at Riverside as the Program Coordinator.

We are so grateful of the gifts that Jason is bringing into the ministry here at Riverside. Jason lives in Story City with his wife, Julie, and their children, Zoe and Elijah.

Chris was in youth ministry for several years in Minnesota before coming to Riverside. His wife, Kelly, was a summer counselor and they love being a part of the Riverside community together.

Chris grew up in Mahtomedi, Minnesota and graduated from Luther College with a degree in Education. He is married to Kelly and they live in Story City. Chris enjoys anything outdoors, random games, music, any sport, and being around people.

Chris’ position includes working with the junior counselors, Youth Ministry Team advocate, Discipleship Team, Adventure Trips (CCC), and other programming throughout the year.

Brian D. Burrier is on the full time staff assisting Jason Van Hove with programming and also designs different projects for Riverside as well us updating and designing the Riverside website.

Brian has worked at Riverside since the summer of 2001 as a senior counselor the first two summers, and as the Camp Store manager the last six summers. He was also on the youth ministry team from 2004 - 2006. One of Brian’s passions is designing shirts, buttons, stickers, hats, sweatshirts, and items for the Camp Store. He also enjoys doing freelance for churches or groups who need shirts, posters, or anything designed.

Brian grew up in Urbandale, IA and graduated from Wartburg College in 2004 with a B.A. in Studio Art and Graphic Design. His other interests include: playing the guitar, bass, and recently drums, collecting and listening to music, and playing on his computer.

Tiffany hails from Marshalltown, IA and graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA in 2006. She has worked at Riverside during the summers since May 03. Tiffany knows she is blessed by the many opportunities Riverside has provided for her. The last two summers Tiffany was the Summer Program Director and currently she is the Program and Ranch Assistant. She works with the program team during Recharges, Blasts, Retreats and anything else that is needed. When Tiffany is not doing that she is down at the Ranch working with the horses and absolutely loves it. Tiffany works alongside Jan at the Ranch with the Ride with the King program where they are able to continue telling people of all ages how much the Lord the loves them!

Besides serving at Riverside, Tiffany loves playing the piano, singing, studying the word of God, playing volleyball, soccer and simply being outside.
