STORM SHELTER
With the recent storms that have continued to roll through the country, we have had questions about our storm shelter.
Our storm shelter is the lower level of the dining hall. It consists of a steel exterior with a cement block inner wall. The back walls are built into the hillside and have 12 foot ceilings. The ceilings are steel beams supporting a 3 inch pad of cement, which is the floor of the dining room upstairs. Part of the reason the dining hall project cost $1.5 million was our commitment to have a storm shelter to house all campers safely through any storm.
Each cabin has designated areas for their individual requirements should a storm strike unexpectedly.
