God’s desire is that we live in the light and become His light bearers in this world. Our speaker, Jenn Alexander, did a fantastic job of leading us to the Light through Scripture. We enjoyed digging into God’s Word, worship, a time of solitude, small group discussions, trail rides, a hayride, campfire, and laughing! It all added up to a very God-blessed weekend.
A highlight of the weekend was a concert by Jenn who had just recorded her second album in Nashville. The coffeehouse environment provided a relaxed atmosphere for women to receive the words that Jenn shared through her music and stories.
The women brought items to donate to Beloit (Ames) and Bremwood (Waverly), Lutheran Services of Iowa Residential Treatment Centers for youth. We also made personalized bracelets and key rings for each youth during Free Time. Thank you, gals! What a joy it is to give!
Mark September 21 & 22 (Friday, the 20th will be optional) on your 2013 calendar and plan ahead to attend the Women’s Retreat! Come with your sister, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, friend, or come by yourself. It is a great time to catch up with friends & relatives, and also make some new friends. You WILL be blessed!
