General Information
Who: Men ages 18+
When: March 21 (evening)-March 23 (at 8:30am), 2024.
Arrival/Check-in: Thursday evening at 5:00pm
Departure: Saturday morning at 8:15am or if staying for Work Day, Saturday after lunch
Cost: $125 per person
Join us for this year's Men's Retreat for a time to get away, enjoy set aside time with the Lord and other men, for a time full of fun, practical biblical teaching, Spirit-filled worship, delicious food, and more. Our prayer is that you leave this time of retreat refreshed and equipped to take a next step in your walk with the Lord.
You might be asking, what's the deal with the schedule? We've seen success with other Men's Retreats starting on Thursday late afternoon and wrapping up on Saturday morning, leaving you time to still enjoy a weekend at home and in your local church. Saturday morning is our Annual Spring Work Day that runs all morning on Saturday-that's why we invite you to stay and participate in Spring Work Day if you'd like and join us for the free lunch at the end of the Work Day!
Our Speaker
Pastor Nathan Anenson.
Nathan is married to Lisa and they have two boys (Luke and Levi) who keep them moving and laughing. Nathan has served Lutheran Church of the Cross since 2012 as Sr. Pastor. He enjoys golfing, hanging out with friends, and going on adventures with his family. Nathan loves seeing Jesus transform lives and is passionate about training leaders to be catalysts for the Church living into God’s mission in the 21st Century.
Lodging
Lodging is available in our comfortable cabins here at camp. If you would like to reserve a cabin for a group of men, please contact our office in advance so we can make arrangements. Each cabin can sleep six (just using bottom bunks) or up to 12 (with using top bunks). You will need to provide your own bedding and pillow for a single-size bed. All cabins are complete with attached bathrooms and heating/air conditioning.
Optional Activities:
Golf at Riverbend Golf Course
We have a block of tee times reserved for 9 holes of golf at Riverbend Golf Course in Story City on Saturday afternoon. You will indicate your interest on registration but payment will be made at the course. *This is an additional cost to your registration fee* (Note: this will take up all of your afternoon free time)
Horseback Riding
Join our awesome Ranch staff on a guided horseback ride through the trails of Riverside! *There is an additional cost of $20 for this ride that you can pay as part of your online registration* (there is a 250lb weight limit for riders)
Work Projects
We have coordinated this event to take place right before our Spring Work Day on Saturday, March 23. If you can stay and pitch in, we'd love to have you. We will have a variety of projects for any skill or ability level, indoors and out. What we'd love to encourage you to do is invite your family to join you on Saturday and you can serve camp together! Enjoy a delicious lunch together before you depart.
