What does "Bible" mean at Riverside?

 

 

We believe the Bible is...

 

...the Word of God ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17), living and active (Hebrews 4:12), the greatest source of nourishment in this world (Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3), the sword of the Spirit used to wage war on evil (Ephesians 6:17), relevant to our lives today, calling us to action (James 1:22), showing our way (Psalm 119:105), flawless (2 Samuel 22:31), truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

 

It is for all these reasons that we hold the Bible in supreme regard at Riverside!
