Going Deeper into your

  • Identity in Christ

  • Possibility in Christ

  • Exchange in Christ

  • Community in Christ

From Kendra:

"I invite you to dive into the letter to the Colossians with me to discover the letter God is writing to you - a letter that invites you to go Deeper into the reality of the continual transforming power of God’s love for, in and through you! KENDRA DIEHL

Kendra.jpg

This is me - I am a lover of God, an imperfect follower of Jesus Christ, and a life-long student of Scripture and culture. My goal in life is to embrace, embody and emulate the love of God through Christ’s Spirit in everyday life,

and to help others do the same. I have an MDiv from The Master’s Institute Seminary, and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary focused on Spiritual formation in Leadership Development. By day I’m honored to serve as a Bible teacher, pastor, ministry mentor, and regional leader for Harvest Network International. If I had a night job I would want to sing jazz and the blues. My husband Rob and I  have been married for 40 years and counting, and have a vibrant, growing, multi-generational family. For fun I enjoy all things jazz, sunny, warm and adventurous, which is weird because we still live in Minnesota!

What to Expect:

We will gather beginning at 8:30am on Saturday for our first session. Breakfast refreshments will be available and you can plan on plenty of hot coffee and tea all weekend long!

What about the Friday evening option? If you can, come early and spend the evening in a way that best suits your needs. The Friday evening option includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, fellowship, and lodging; but, if your soul desires extra rest and not-so-much socialization, grab some food and escape to your cabin early! There is no wrong way to spend your time. After all, this is your time and we want to you enjoy yourself fully and be restored! Adding the Friday evening option is $30 for those staying at camp as well as for commuters.

SERVICE PROJECT 2024

Women's Retreat attendees through the years have contributed to a number of meaningful service projects. This year, our project is called "Books & Blessings." We will use this time to stock our new Mortvedt Coffee House with Christian books and write small notes of encouragement to stick between the pages as a sweet surprise for the many guests this space will bless. If you have any gently used Christian books at home that you want to donate to this project, please bring them with you this weekend! If you feel led to purchase a new book, we also have an Amazon wishlist linked to the button above of books that we think would be a blessing to our guests. Whether you can bring a book, buy a book, or not, we look forward to filling pages with encouragement together this weekend!

REGISTRATION

Registration will include a seat at all speaker sessions, small group studies, worship, three meals on Saturday, two meals on Sunday, snacks, an array of free-time options, a bountiful pouring on of encouragement and inspiration, as well as so much more. Be sure to mark this on registration so we can include you as we prepare and schedule those optional activities. Your registration and cost options are:

  • Arrive Saturday morning, staying overnight at Riverside = $125

  • Arrive Saturday morning, staying off-site but attending Sunday = $115

  • SATURDAY ONLY registration, no lodging = $100

  • Friday Add-On (whether or not staying onsite) = $30

LODGING

As usual, you will have the ability to stay right here in one of our cozy cabins on camp. We anticipate that groups of ladies will register together and we encourage that - this will allow us to place you and your close peers in a cabin together. There will be a Cabinmate request section in registration that you will want to complete if you have specific people you'd like to be in a cabin with. No cabinmate request? No problem! You are not alone and we are excited for you to connect with your assigned cabinmates as well as the many other women who will be in attendance on this special weekend!

If you personally do not feel comfortable being in a cabin with ladies you do not know or if you'd prefer a hotel, you can check out lodging options right in nearby Story City or Ames.

ADDITIONAL COSTS (optional)

Horseback Trail Ride = $20

Craft Activity = $8
