Arrival and Departure Info
1. Camper Check-In (3:30 - 4:45pm)
Camper check-in begins no sooner than 3:30pm and with our new check-in process, there is really no reason to arrive before then! In fact, our summer team is excitedly preparing and praying for our campers right up until check-in time. It will actually help us AND save you time to have you arrive at 3:30pm or after. If you do arrive early, you will be directed to the Dining Hall parking lot. Beginning at 3:25pm, a summer staff person will visit each car that has arrived to give you instructions.
Alpha Campers, Sunday Check-In - please follow the same process as stated above.
Alpha Campers, Wednesday Check-In - please arrive to the Dining Hall anytime between 3:45pm and 4:30pm.
2. Welcome To Camp!
As you pull in the Riverside drive, you will be greeted by a member of our summer staff. If you are EXPRESS (see below for EXPRESS eligibility), we will send you directly to your cabin. If you are not express, you will stop in the Dining Hall to finish up your check-in and then receive your cabin information.
All medications, prescription and over-the-counter, need to be turned into our medical volunteer in the Dining Hall. If you are EXPRESS, you are welcome to go your cabin first so long as you remember to stop in the Dining Hall before you leave. Medication Release Forms should have been completed during your on-line registration process. If there have been changes since then or you didn't complete those forms on-line, the paper forms will be available for completion in the Dining Hall during check-in. Medications must be turned in to our medical volunteer in the original containers - please do not bring pills in baggies, in pill-minders, etc.
4. Camp Store
Money (we suggest between $10-$50) can be deposited ahead of time on your online account or you can deposit this at check-in time. The Camp Store has a wide variety of candy, soda, evening snacks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, disposable cameras, toothbrushes, shampoo, and more. Projects created at our Arts and Crafts area, or as we call it, Art Fun!, have a small fee to cover the cost. This fee will also be deducted from the camper's Camp Store balance. You may view your camper's Camp Store balance during the week at camp on your account online and can even add more during their week of camp.

Any camper wanting to ride during FREE TIME should bring $10 to be paid at registration, separate from your "balance due." Juniors through Senior High are eligible to ride. Long pants and shoes (not sandals) are required. Rides are limited to one per camper.

Friday Pick-up and Closing Program Procedure
At check-in, the cabin leader will ask each person dropping off a camper who will be picking them up on Friday.
The person's full name and relation to the camper will be documented on a spreadsheet. This is the person who MUST pick up the camper on Friday. If they are unable to pick up the camper, then you must let us know at the office (515-733-5271) before Friday at 12:00 pm.
Campers will walk into the closing program together with their cabin as part of our "procession" into the closing program at 3:00 pm. (If your child is not going to the closing program, then you need to let us know before Friday at 12:00 pm. Your camper will still need to be picked up )
At the end of the closing program, parents will remain seated. Campers will process outside of the chapel. When outside, the cabin leaders will hold up signs with their cabin name on it. Parents will be dismissed to pick up their child once all campers are outside.
Those picking up a camper must be the same person designated on the sheet from Sunday. If there needs to be a change for some reason, you MUST contact us ahead of time to notify us. There needs to be confirmation with the cabin leader, camper, and person picking up their camper, before they are allowed to leave.
After waiting for 10 minutes outside of the chapel, the cabin leaders will then head back to the cabin with the remaining campers and check out campers as they are picked up at the cabin. All campers must be picked up by 4:00 pm!
