Young at Heart Day 2021 IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

While we are disappointed that the pandemic required us to cancel our first-ever Young-At-Heart Day in 2020, we are thrilled to press forward with plans for this exclusive retreat for adults 50 years young and up on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Registration will be opening soon! Plan for a morning that includes engaging Bible teaching from our guest speakers, plenty of coffee and cinnamon rolls, worship, and safe fellowship with other attendees. After a delicious lunch, there will be a variety of free-time options from which you may choose. Enjoy a day that falls outside the usual and explore this new experience ith us! We are excited to host you. Registration cost for this event will be $25.

Stephen and Sandy Anenson have served the people of the Story City area for decades. Stephen was called to serve at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City in 1983 and served there until he retired in 2016. Sandy ministered to the elder saints of the community at Bethany Life for 28 years, serving as chaplain. Following retirement, they moved to Ankeny. They have two sons-- Nathan who serves as Senior Pastor at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona, and Jonathan who serves as pastor at Lutheran Church of Hope - Des Moines.  They also have four grandchildren.
