March Update
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
What a surprise this weather has been in February! The snow is gone, we've been able to sneak in some safe control burns, all the cabins are opened up (with the exception of the tree houses), and we're ready for a full spring, summer, and fall of guests coming for Christ-centered, refreshing camp experiences. Here are another few areas of note:
Spring Work Day March 23. We love having all hands on deck days like this to steward our camp property well. Please consider joining us for this incredibly fun, short commitment service opportunity to help us prepare the property for another full year of ministry. All skills and abilities welcomed! Mortvedt Hall Update. Plans are underway and construction should begin shortly on the Mortvedt Hall rennovation, which will include: updated restrooms, meeting room, large gathering area with a coffee/smoothie shop, back deck overlooking the river, updated exterior bathrooms, HVAC, and all new flooring. We are shooting for this project to be complete by May 1 and ready for the summer, where Art Fun will be along with the smoothie/coffee shop!
Welcome Emily Berggren! Emily has just joined our full-time, year around team as our new Communications Coordinator. We'll introduce you more fully to her soon! I'm so excited for Emily to be joining our team and to work with her in helping us better communicate with our wide variety of audiences the ministry of Riverside has, not just about the great opportunities to come to retreats and events, but to share with you more about the life-changing impact Riverside has in countless lives.
